50 Mile Route

START - Catterline School

• From the school take the road out of Catterline across the bridge and up to the junction at “The Grove”.
• Turn left and follow the road up past Harvieston Farm to another junction.
• Turn left and follow the road past “Whistleberry” until it meets the junction with the A92.
• Turn left and follow the road down towards Inverbervie.
• Turn right before reaching Inverbervie on to the B967 sign posted Fourdon and follow this road until reaching “Redmyre School”.
• Turn right at the school and follow the road a few hundred yards to the bridge.
• Turn left immediately after the bridge on to the track leading through the underpass beneath the A90 dual carriageway.
• Turn right on exiting the underpass and follow the road approx 100 yards to the junction sign posted Auchenblae.
• Turn left towards Auchenblae and follow the road until reaching a crossroads at “Hamewith Cottage”.

• Turn left on to the B966 towards Fettercairn and follow this road for approx 6 miles until reaching a junction.
• Turn right sign posted B966 Fettercairn and follow this road into Fettercairn itself until reaching a roundabout.
• Turn right on to the road signposted B974 “ Clatterin Brig” and follow this road until reaching the base of the “ Cairn o Mount”.

• Turn right at the “Clatterin Brig” on to the road sign posted Drumtochty Glen and follow this road entering Auchenblae.

• Turn left on to the road sign posted Stonehaven and follow this road until reaching a junction again sign posted Stonehaven.
• Turn left and follow this road towards Stonehaven.
• Before reaching Kirkton turn right at the junction immediately before the “North of Scotland Farrachie Water stores” and follow this road to the “Kirkton Cemetery” junction.
• Turn right towards the “Kirkton Garden Centre” and follow this road to the junction immediately before the “Veterinary Practice”.
• Turn right onto the road sign posted Kirkton of Fetteresso and follow this road through Toucks to the junction with the A92.
• Turn right on to the A92 towards “home” until reaching the Barras junction.
• Turn right at this junction then immediately left towards “Halymyres Equestrian Centre” and follow this road until reaching the junction at its end.
• Turn left towards “The Mill of Uras” and follow this road until the junction meeting the A92.
• Turn right onto the A92 then immediately left onto the Catterline road.
• Turn right at the next junction and it is………….
