Catterline Invades Pittodrie

Creel Inn regulars made their presence felt at the Aberdeen & North East Beer Festival in Pittodrie last week when over twenty enthusiast from in and around Catterline donned distinctive tee shirts and sampled the many beers on offer.

Once again, Robert very kindly laid on a coach there and back, and treated everyone to a curry on their return to the Creel.

There is a small number of tee shirts still available - £10 ea. Email me if you'd like one.

Tickets available at the Creel Inn Cocktail evening 14th Dec and, after that, from Gala Team Members.

Tickets are limited to 75 seats and will be sold to village and local area on a first come first served basis. This is an over 18s event.

21st Great Grampian Beer Festival

Creel Inn beer festival outing will be on Thursday 22nd, and will be the same format as last year; bus from the Creel or meet there after work, with bus returning at 10pm for a curry at The Creel.

Darts Nights to start again

The Creel Inn darts nights will be starting again on Wednesday 21st November - similar format to last year but with fewer evenings.

And - not at all late or anything - last seasons final results are attached below. Neil won.

Catterline Pier CD Launch

An open invitation is extended to attend the launch of the Catterline Pier CD, a collection of 12 original pieces by Dave Ramsay which capture events and historical information on Catterline village, its pier and surrounding areas.

The CD will be formally launched by Councillor George Carr, on Monday 17th September in the Creel Inn, Catterline at 7.30pm and Dave will be performing a short selection of the Catterline tracks from the CD.

This CD is based on songs and poems of Catterline and the surrounding district, and is in support of funds for the Catterline Harbour Trust. It was recorded live at the Creel Inn earlier this year in front of an audience of local people connected to the stories.

Copies will be available on the evening, and can also be purchased on line or directly from Dave. They will also be available from the following outlets;

Quiz Results in Full

Analysis of the full results from the latest quiz night reveal a very closely fought contest. Second placed Hypertensives were, in fact, leading until the 7th round, where Monotreme Quartz's superior sports knowledge earned them a narrow lead that they just managed to hold until the end. Third places Embarrassing Pirates 2007 were gaining ground at pace, and but for a disasterous second round could easily have won.
