Cisco Prevail in Closely Fought Quiz

The St Patrick's Day quiz in the Creel in last Monday was very closely fought, with "Cisco" coming through strongly in the final rounds to push "Paddy McGinty's Goat" and defending champions "Monotreme Quartz" into second and third place. Both "The Quartz" and "The Goats" had led the field during the night, but a perfect 20 in the sports round put Cisco in poll position, and they just managed to hold on in the last three rounds to claim the prize.

The prize for the best team name was awarded to "Paddy McGinty's Goat". 9 teams took part, with all proceeds going to CLAN.

Quiz Mistress Ceri is compiling another set of fiendish and challenging questions for the next Creel Inn quiz night, which will be on St Patrick's Day (so expect lots of questions about Guinness, leprechauns and shamrocks)

7.30 for 8.00pm in the Creel.
Teams of four.
Prize for best team name.
All proceeds to CLAN.

Analysis of the full results from the latest quiz night reveal a very closely fought contest. Second placed Hypertensives were, in fact, leading until the 7th round, where Monotreme Quartz's superior sports knowledge earned them a narrow lead that they just managed to hold until the end. Third places Embarrassing Pirates 2007 were gaining ground at pace, and but for a disasterous second round could easily have won.

Monotreme Quartz prevailed in a hard fought quiz at the Creel last night. They were lying second to The Hypertensives after the second section, but a devastating performance in the sport and music rounds put them clear of all their rivals.

"Pure Rock Fury" wins Pub Quiz

Quiz Mistress Ceri did us proud with another challenging quiz, and after ten rounds of taxing questions, "Pure Rock Fury" came out in front, narrowly beating "The Feckin' Eeejits" into second place. "We got Crabs at the Creel" were third, and "Piston Broke" got the prize for the best team name.
